Every chronic disease plan includes a management plan with health services required such as physiotherapists, chiropractitioners, dieticians, exercise physiologists, podiatrists or osteopaths.
Childhood and adults vaccinations
All routine childhood, adult and travel vaccinations can be provided at the surgery. These can be given on any day and vaccination record cards can be obtained. As vaccination for travellers can be complex, please arrange an appointment at least six weeks prior to departure.
Skin Cancer Check
Our experienced skin cancer doctor thoroughly examines all areas exposed to the sun to check for any suspicious spots and to see for irregularities. The check will take approximately 15-20 minutes and you will be asked to undress apart from your underwear. We give you privacy to get ready to ensure you feel comfortable. Ladies are asked not to wear makeup.
Diagnosis and treatment
Skin cancer is diagnosed by skin examination and biopsy. The choice of treatment will depend on various factors including your age, overall health, type and size of cancer.
We offer to treat skin cancer with the common ways of surgery, cryotherapy, use of topical chemotherapy, curettage and cautery as appropriate.
Home Visits
We kindly ask for prior notice if you wish for a home visit. We can come the same day, however the Doctor may not be able to attend until either the lunch break or at the end of the day. Our Doctor will always endeavour to look after our patients who cannot attend the rooms.
Aged Care/N/H Visits
We have been striving to deliver comprehensive and high quality aged care services. Dr Michelle Ong is very passionate about caring for elders and brings along extensive knowledge in this field.
Travel Medicine
Our experts have experience in medicinal requirements for different countries and can happily advise you before your travels.

Workcover Claims
If you got injured while at work, you may be eligible for WorkCover. Please check with your employer first if they are covered by Workcover QLD or are Self Insured.
Minor Procedures
Turton Street Sunnybank Medical Centre offers a fully equipped treatment room, dedicated nursing staff and experienced Doctor to make any minor surgery a pleasant experience. Common procedures include toenail wedge resections, implanon insertion/removal, skin excision and wound suturing.

Open after hours
This Practice uses Australian Home Doctor Network They can be contacted on 1300 378 47 48. After a consult by an After-Hours doctor, it is there policy to always send electronically, the Practice a consult note advising the doctor of the outcomes of these visits. These notes are then scanned into the patient files.
Interpreter services
For Patients with a hearing or communication impairment please tell the receptionist when making an appointment for you or your family member to phone National Relay Service-NRS on 133 677 or for patients with language difficulties phone TIS- Translating & Interpreter Service 131 450 for a telephone translation service.
Investigations
Our doctor in the practice can perform Electrocardiograms (ECG), Blood Sugar testing, Pregnancy tests, Hearing tests. Pathology Test ,X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, mammograms, and endoscopy tests can be arranged elsewhere when needed.
